Dual study programme Betriebswirtschaftslehre: Your career prospects
The dual degree programme in Business Administration opens up many perspectives for you. After all, graduates with a degree in Business Administration are sought after in a wide variety of industries and disciplines. By choosing your specialisation, you have the opportunity to specialise specifically for your dream job.
Depending on the specialisation you choose, you can work as ...
ACCOUNTANT OR BOOKKEEPER
As an accountant, you document all financial data and assets, advise the management and prepare profit and loss accounts and balance sheets. In contrast to the work in tax consultancy, an accountant is not allowed to prepare annual financial statements, but only to prepare them. Otherwise, you are responsible for the smooth running of payment transactions in the company, for example, you write invoices and check incoming payments.
BUSINESS CONTROLLER
Tougher competition between companies is increasing the pressure on costs - so it is all the more important to recognise where money is being earned or burnt. As a business controller, you try to find out how the company's performance can be improved. Therefore, your tasks include the evaluation of data, the comparison of planned and actual figures and the preparation of budgets and forecasts, i.e. the "look into the future". You work closely with other departments and the management and advise on how to achieve the company's goals.

As an e-commerce manager, you are responsible for the online presence of your company. Your tasks can be very diverse and range from the selection of the product range to the management of returns. To ensure the success of the webshop, you optimise prices, monitor sales processes and develop marketing measures. To do this, you work closely with other departments, such as sales and marketing.
