Computer Science is a field that changes at a rapid pace and yet always has its finger on the pulse. Digital Development and other IT topics such as Big Data are shaping the future of our society. For years, there has been a high and as yet unmet need for experts in this field. Whether in IT or a user industry: The Bachelor's in Computer Science provides you with all the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully enter the job market for computer scientists.

A special focus of the English-language programme for the Bachelor's of Computer Science is on Software Engineering, currently the most important sub-discipline in practice. Building on a broad foundation of fundamental knowledge, this focus is complemented by courses on IT Security, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. Furthermore, you will sharpen your career profile with additional skills in Data Security, Project Management and IT Law.

First of all, you lay the foundation for your further studies through foundation subjects on Programming, Academic Studies and Mathematics. Building on this, you will deal with the core topics of the subject such as Databases, Algorithms or Theoretical Computer Science in your Computer Science modules. In addition, you will expand and deepen your skills in central areas of Software Engineering. This includes modules such as Requirements Engineering, Software Quality Assurance and IT Service Management. Courses on IT Security and IT Law, Agile Project Management and current topics in Computer Science round off your study programme.

Our Bachelor's study programme is modular, i.e. you study based on subject areas that are divided into so-called modules. After successfully completing the modules, you will be credited with ECTS points (European Credit Transfer System), which document your achievements. These ECTS points are internationally comparable and, of course, recognised.

Depending on your personal or professional situation, full-time study is not always easy to manage. That is why we have also developed part-time programmes for all our degrees, which offer flexible and longer study periods. This way, you can study alongside your job or during your time off, whether at home or abroad. The content of the different models is identical. Depending on the study model, we will adjust your tuition fees accordingly. With the part-time variants, your weekly study workload is reduced.

Can't finish your degree in the allotted time? No problem! We will develop the right study model for everyone. If you realise that you need more time, you can easily switch to another study model with three months’ notice before the end of the month. These are our different study models:
