Bachelor Fitnessökonomie* (B.A.)

As a university, IU deliberately does not have an NC. Here you simply study what you feel most like and what ideally suits your talents. Regardless of your grade point average. Studying without an NC is a matter of course for us, so that you will always get the place you want.   

You can currently complete your Bachelor's degree in Fitness Economics at the Virtual Campus. This means that you can study anywhere in Germany. In the myStudium programme you can also study Fitness Economics on campus in Berlin and Cologne.

Yes, that is also possible at IU. In addition to the entrance qualification in the form of an Abitur or Fachabitur, interested students without an Abitur also have the opportunity to enter our Bachelor's programme. You can study fitness management without a high school diploma if you have completed an advanced training course (e.g. as a Chamber of Industry and Commerce business administrator), have a master craftsman's certificate or have at least two years of vocational training and at least three years of professional experience.  

The Fitness Economics Bachelor’s programme lasts for 36, 48 or 72 months, depending on which time model you choose. In the myStudium study format, the standard duration is 36 months. If you need more time and semesters for your studies, this is absolutely no problem.  

As a fitness economist, you will study in an interdisciplinary way to gain both business and exercise science know-how. You will be prepared for personnel responsibility, social and organisational competence and will be able to manage companies in the growth industry of prevention, fitness, sport and health. The market is growing steadily due to people's increased awareness of their health in recent years. The degree programme opens up career prospects not only in fitness studios, but also, for example, in wellness and sports hotels, with manufacturers of fitness products, with consultancies in the health sector, in rehabilitation facilities or health insurance companies. Or you can simply set up your own business with your specialist knowledge after graduation, depending on how you envisage your future.
