With the distance learning programme “Naturschutz und Landschaftsplanung”, you will receive a comprehensive, interdisciplinary education that combines classical landscape planning, environmental management, and modern technologies.

• You will acquire fundamental knowledge in conservation, ecology, and landscape planning and engage with environmental technology, digitalisation, climate protection management, and environmental education. 

• You will have the opportunity to specialise in your area of interest. 

• You will qualify for an exciting career in environmental organisations, government agencies, or the private sector, contributing to a sustainable future. For example, you can become a GIS specialist in conservation, a landscape planner, or a conservation officer. 

Im Studium erhältst Du Einblicke in Grundlagen der Landschafts- und Methodenplanung, des Naturschutzes und Artenschutzes, der Angewandten Ökologie, der Botanik und Gehölzkunde, der Limnologie sowie in Landschaftspflege und Vegetationstechnik. Außerdem beschäftigst Du Dich mit Geodesign, Bodenkunde und Altlastensanierung, nachhaltiger Baukonstruktion und Ingenieurökologie, Renaturierung und Naturschutz, Faunistik sowie den rechtlichen Rahmenbedingungen wie Bau-, Planungs- und Umweltrecht.

Wahlpflichtmodule: In Wahlpflichtbereich A, B und C wählst Du jeweils zwei Wahlpflichtmodule. Wahlpflichtbereich D: Entscheide Dich zu Beginn zwischen einem Praktikum bei einem Unternehmen oder Modulen des Wahlpflichtbereichs D. Das Praktikum schließt Du mit einer Praxisreflexion ab. Entscheidest Du Dich für die Module aus Wahlpflichtbereich D, müssen alle Module aus diesem Bereich absolviert werden. Mischformen zwischen Praktikum und Wahlpflichtbereich D sind nicht möglich.

Depending on your personal or professional situation, full-time study is not always easy to manage. That is why we have also developed part-time programmes for all our degrees, which offer flexible and longer study periods. This way, you can study alongside your job or during your time off, whether at home or abroad. The content of the different models is identical. Depending on the study model, we will adjust your tuition fees accordingly. With the part-time variants, your weekly study workload is reduced.

Can't finish your degree in the allotted time? No problem! We will develop the right study model for everyone. If you realise that you need more time, you can easily switch to another study model with three months’ notice before the end of the month. These are our different study models:
