Water is not neglected either: with its location on the river Leine and the Maschsee lake in the southern part of the city, Hannover offers plenty of local recreational opportunities.

Whether it's a visit to the theatre, some sport, a shopping spree or some relaxation from your dual studies in one of its many parks - you'll always have something to do in Hannover. Lower Saxony's capital also has a well-developed public transport network. You can get to IU’s dual studies campus in Hannover, and even reach cities like Bremen, Hamburg and Göttingen quickly.
