Interlocking theory and practice

Study, work and leisure - with us you can combine everything: thanks to regular alternation between theory and practice. You always apply what you have learned directly in the practical phases - this makes it much easier and faster for you to understand course content.

No Numerus Clausus

Motivation cannot be measured with grades - that's why we deliberately do without an NC. Instead, we find out together where your talents and strengths lie.

Teaching at the highest level

The IU offers you an excellent dual study programme with which you can look forward to a promising future: 2 out of 3 students are taken on by their practice partner after graduation. Our degree programmes are accredited and state-recognised.

In the dual study programme at IU, you regularly alternate between theory and practice in the company. You study for half of the week and work for your practice partner for 20 hours the other half of the week.

The theory takes place in one of our two study models, depending on the degree programme and study location:

Dual study programme (courses on campus)
Dual myStudium programme (voluntary courses on campus or virtually via livestream)

Dual studies on campus or online

You can start with us at over 35 study locations or completely online. On the virtual campus, you are entirely independent of location and learn the theory from wherever you want! You complete your practical training at a company in the region of your choice.
