WHAT IS A DUAL DEGREE PROGRAMME?

A private degree programme means that you receive individual and personal support and are taught by highly qualified lecturers. Nevertheless, the dual degree programme at IU is completely free of charge for you. Because 100% of your tuition fees are paid by your practice partner. Many companies also pay you additional pocket money. You also have the option of applying for BAföG.

Simply complete our online application. There you can either upload your documents directly, such as your CV and certificates or submit them later in the applicant portal.

For us, your personal strengths are more important than your school grades. That's why we don't have an NC. Moreover, A-levels or technical school-leaving certificates are not the only way into a degree programme. You can also study with us as a state-certified technician or business economist and with a master craftsman's certificate – or if you have at least two years of vocational training with at least three years of work experience.

A dual Bachelor's programme at IU has a regular duration of 3.5 years (7 semesters). After graduation, you also have the option of earning a Master's degree at IU. This is possible in distance learning or with English-language full-time on-site studies at the Bad Honnef or Berlin campuses.

The theoretical phases at the university of applied sciences alternate with the practical phases in the company.

At IU, this is done either in a weekly alternating model or a split week model, so that the student remains optimally integrated into the work activities of the practice partner throughout the semester.

The dual degree programme is ideal for people who are aiming for a university degree, but for whom a classic classroom study programme is too theoretical. Not only can you apply the content from the studies directly and know what you need it for – the work experience is also a big plus when looking for a job. So the question is rather: Why not a dual degree programme?
