Since 2020, IU International University of Applied Sciences has presented Alumni Awards for special achievements and accomplishments of our graduates. The winners of the 2023 Alumni Awards will be featured publicly on our main communication channels (social media, website, blog, news, press release, newsletter) and, as with the 2022 Alumni Awards, will be honored with a live talk at our Alumni Awards Ceremony.


In 2023, for the first time, we will publish the 10 finalists for the Alumni Awards as well, to honor the top 10 nominations and applications.


Requirements:

The nominee must hold an academic degree (B. A., M. A., MBA, MSc, LLB., Diplom) from IU International University of Applied Sciences (formerly IUBH, regardless of the study model and location).


In 2023, the Alumni Awards will be presented in four different categories. A maximum of one award per category will be presented each year. The management team of IU International University of Applied Sciences reserves the right to decide whether no award or additionally a Special Mention Award will be given in a category.


Categories:


Category I: Award Special Professional Success

For special professional achievements: e.g. high management position, outstanding professional performance, very successful and exceptional professional career nationally or internationally.


Category II: Entrepreneurial Award

For alumni who develop and implement innovative ideas or business models with potential for strong growth.


Category III: Education Development Award

For alumni who are highly committed to the further development of education or continuing education measures, in particular with projects focusing on the digitization of education.


Category IV: Sustainability Award

For alumni who are particularly committed to the topic of sustainability through their involvement or activities.


Nomination opportunities:

  • Via recommendation from graduates

  • Self-nomination

  • By the IU International University of Applied Sciences (e.g. management team, professors, campus directors).


Nomination Process:

To nominate yourself or another graduate, share your success story or project with us and send a letter of application (maximum one page) with a justification for the application or nomination, with clear reference to the requirements of the respective category and the associated CV via email to alumni@iu.org , preferably including a XING or LinkedIn profile of the person to be nominated.


The nomination by IU International University of Applied Sciences will also be made in written form by the management team, professors or campus directors with a justification with reference to the requirements of the respective criteria.

Award Ceremony: Alumni Award Ceremony with live stream, date to be announced


As the winner of the Alumni Award, we will give you a free continuing education program at the IU Academy with a duration of up to 4 months full-time or 8 months part-time. You can decide for yourself which further education you would like to do and choose from a variety of German and English-language programs in future-proof areas such as Leadership, Change Management, Communications, IT & Data and many more.
