How it works

You study Hospitality Management through myStudium at the IU International University (IU) and work part-time at Motel One. Your tuition fees are paid by your employer. The best thing about it: as well as a state-recognised Bachelor’s degree, you will also gain a lot of professional experience!

Start myStudium at the IU:

You will take 3 courses per quarter and attend 2-3 tutorials per week. You will have 3 exams each quarter, reducing the stress of exams.
You will consolidate your knowledge in small groups with other Motel One students and have the opportunity to discuss directly with tutors.
You will learn in an innovative way using the online platform, our Learn App and interactive scripts and learning videos.

Work-Part-Time at Motel One

Alongside your myStudium studies at the IU, you will work 20-25 hours per week in a European Motel One. Through this work, you will get to know different departments of the hotel:

Front Office & Reservations
Service (breakfast & bar)
Housekeeping
Sales & Administration

Your Course Content in Hospitality Management (B.A.)

The English-language myStudium Hospitality Management combines business management knowledge with industry-specific expertise. You will learn about areas such as human resources management and accounting. Alongside topics such as food and beverage management and destination management, you will also study:

How the application process works

Requirements for Motel One

You should have already gained experience in the hotel industry or complete a one-week internship at Motel One before starting myStudium. You should also have a good command of English (B2 level) and possibly other languages and be able to work independently.

Your IU Application

When you have successfully applied to Motel One, you will receive a link and a code to apply for the Hospitality Management programme on the IU website.

The myStudium Contract

When you have entered your personal details you will receive your conctract online or by e-mail. Then, you should upload the important documents such as your school-leaving certificates, your photo ID and your CV. We will send you a link for the upload as well as further information about the start of your studies by email.
