Learning apps and AI programs help with learning

48.0% of respondents in the IU Learning Report 2024 state that learning apps and AI programs are helpful when learning. 13.6% even describe them as very helpful.

In contrast, 27.0% describe learning apps and AI programs as less unhelpful or completely unhelpful. A further 25.0% have no opinion on this. The findings are representative of Germany.

Use of AI in education? The majority of people are all for it

Artificial intelligence is now part of many digital services, e.g. chatbots such as ChatGPT and translation and writing assistants such as DeepL. 54.5% of people in Germany find the use of these AI tools in education quite positive or very positive – whether in schools, at university, during training or for upskilling.
